Areas

At lower levels, the Golden Wooden Nickel Casino may be your best bet because of the non-combat adventure Jackpot! which will net you a few hundred chips.

Once you have access to the Cube Theater, the chip drops and XP improvements are pretty nice in the non-combat adventure Intermission, which recurs every 5 turns or so. When you get the choice, "exit stage right" will give you 140-160 chips and "exit stage center" will cost a few HP but will give 300 XP. This is good place to chip and XP farm at the same time when you need both to level up. There are also some nice item drops that can be sold for additional chips.
