Clavis Clepsydra, the clockwork woman

You are fighting Clavis Clepsydra, the clockwork woman.

A masterpiece of steampunk design, Clavis is the keymaster who keeps all the other clockwork creatures in the castle properly maintained and fully wound up. She also serves as one of the key guardians (pun intended, I'm afraid) of Hundenswein.
Your opponent attacks ...

Hit messages:

  • The keymaster stabs you with her clockwork key and turns it. You don't have a core to pop out, but it still hurts like heck.
  • Clavis makes sure everything runs on time, including your beatings.
  • Clepsydra rearranges herself into a spaceship. While you're marvelling at the transformation, she hits you with her lasers... which you're pretty sure aren't steam punk, but who'd argue with the lady made out of gears. (fire) damage

She hits you for X damage.

Critical hit message:

Your opponent has a critical hit! She hits you for X damage.

Miss messages:

  • The keymaster jabs you with her clockwork key and turns it, but you're not clockwork. Or the gatekeeper.
  • Clavis makes sure everything runs on time, which thankfully makes her pretty predictable.
  • Clepsydra rearranges herself into a spaceship, but takes so long preparing for metamorphosis that she's lost the element of surprise.

Fumble messages:

Your foe fumbles! She takes X damage.

Victory! You beat up your foe and win the combat!
