If you enter the hospital with less than your maximum number of hit points, you will get the following message:

If you enter the hospital with your maximum number of hit points, then you will get the following message:
The emergency room attendant on duty looks you over and asks, "Can I help you with anything?"
You think about it for a second and then shrug. "No, not really. I guess I'm okay," you say. The attendant shakes his head and goes back to reading a magazine, muttering something under his breath that even with your super hearing you can't quite pick out.
It costs 7 chips for each hit point you want to restore.
