sleeping draught
Plural: sleeping draughts
This is a vial filled with a bubbly green liquid. Just opening the lid and taking a sniff makes you yawn, and watching the bubbles inside the vial rise slowly and methodically up the sides makes your eyes heavy. The real question, existentialists ask, is if it's possible to completely drink such a powerful sleeping draught before the drink makes you too sleepy to finish?
