Legend has it when danger is near these old coins decorated with spider logos become slightly electrically charged. If they make contact with bare skin, that charge causes a slight "tickling" or "tingling" sensation, which can warn you to be wary. It’s not a very believable warning system, I realize. They’re probably more useful for their ancient coin value.
