Plural: pathway imagers
This thing looks like a small enclosed fishtank filled with a strange gel of some sort. There's a little window at one end and cables running out from a small box at the other. The gel shimmers with an eerie glow that gives you goosebumps, and not the good kind of goosebumps either.
