You're faced with an ulky and boozing slug. Um, bulky and oozing. It menaces toward you glidingly, or maybe glides toward you menacingly.

• It strikes out in a quick, easy fashion, leaving you with an ick, queasy feeling.
• The slug pauses to wax a polyp, which of course seriously packs a wallop.
• You dodge into a side tunnel, but the slug goes through and throws goo. The goo hits you solidly. X (acid) damage

Miss messages:

• The slug makes grand lunge at you but lands in some grunge instead.
• It lashes out and you're worried it may slime you, but you're too vocal to be considered a mime so it can't slay you.
• The slug bites at your foot. It fights at your boot, but loses the fight.

Fumble messages:

Your foe fumbles! It takes X damage.

Victory! You beat up your foe and win the combat!

You gain 18-29 chips.

You gain 23 experience.

• As it is in reality a slick thug, it cannot be Tamed.
