- The slug pauses to wax a polyp, which of course seriously packs a wallop.
- You dodge into a side tunnel, but the slug goes through and throws goo. The goo hits you solidly. X (acid) damage

Your opponent has a critical hit! It hits you for X damage.
Miss messages:
- The slug makes grand lunge at you but lands in some grunge instead.
- It lashes out and you're worried it may slime you, but you're too vocal to be considered a mime so it can't slay you.
- The slug bites at your foot. It fights at your boot, but loses the fight.
Fumble messages:
Your foe fumbles! It takes X damage.
Victory! You beat up your foe and win the combat!
You gain 18-29 chips.
You gain 23 experience.
