:I guess the front runners would be the effect from the chains since if they succeed they force the encounter to repeat, or it could be some oddness related to the bedsheet replacing your encounter upon success with a "ghost of ...". The chains though with the forced repeat are probably the likely suspect though. --Valmo 20:29, 6 October 2011 (PDT) | :I guess the front runners would be the effect from the chains since if they succeed they force the encounter to repeat, or it could be some oddness related to the bedsheet replacing your encounter upon success with a "ghost of ...". Chains are just the same as using a deja voodoo doll and others. It doesn't make the encounter repeat, just makes sure you face the same foe. If it's interfering with an IOU thing, I'd bet it's the bedsheet.--Harry Dresden 17:10, 7 October 2011 (PDT) | Chains are just the same as using a deja voodoo doll and others. Given the 1-5 turn window on the non-combat a deja voodoo can accidentally toss a spanner into the gears. The bedsheet still needs to be checked though. --Valmo 18:55, 7 October 2011 (PDT) | ||

Using items from this during combat seems to somehow, sometimes, override the I.O.U. adventures when carrying the pre-vandalism radio. --Dogberry 10:00 PM (CDT) 6 Oct, 2011
- I guess the front runners would be the effect from the chains since if they succeed they force the encounter to repeat, or it could be some oddness related to the bedsheet replacing your encounter upon success with a "ghost of ...". The chains though with the forced repeat are probably the likely suspect though. --Valmo 20:29, 6 October 2011 (PDT)

- I gave it a few tries on a multi with deja voodoo dolls. The deja voodoo'd encounter actually gets priority over the IOU non-combat and triggers the failure message. Given the 1-5 turn window on the non-combat a deja voodoo can accidentally toss a spanner into the gears. The bedsheet still needs to be checked though. --Valmo 18:55, 7 October 2011 (PDT)
- I'm sure it happened to me once without using the bedsheet, so I'd guess it's the chains, which are like the voodoo doll. (I don't know that the bedsheet CAN'T do it, I just know it's not the only thing that does it.) --Dogberry 10:40 PM (CDT) 7 Oct, 2011
