I just got this badge after completing another heirloom run inheriting a non-class talisman.  This makes the fifth heirloom run that I did that.  The talisman's that I used were Knight of Ruin, Paradox Naught, Grimm's Bulwark (twice), and the tainted ankh.  Can someone please verify whether or not the requirement is for four different non-class talisman runs or if the requirement is simply for five non-class runs? --‡ Trog ‡ (talk) 08:18, 1 November 2015 (PST)

Popped up at level 1 when I went to train for level 2. Maybe related to the Futility Belt as I have done a bunch of futility runs of late. RKBrumbelow (talk) 04:01, 11 June 2013 (PDT)

I have been told it is in fact not related to the futility belt, It may then be related to the Paradox Naught RKBrumbelow (talk) 12:05, 28 June 2013 (PDT)
It may be helpful to know that it went in at the same time as the futility belt. -Kinak 06:05, 30 June 2013 (PDT)

Okay, I just got this badge. This run is nothing terribly special, it's my 14th (not in a row) Heirloom run, but no crazy tricks, my pull was the current IotM. However, this is my 100th retcon. Cristiona (talk) 20:27, 12 August 2013 (PDT)

Or not. Harry doesn't qualify for it. Cristiona (talk) 20:09, 13 August 2013 (PDT)
Maybe because he mostly run with iotm talismans? Maybe "the hero makes the talismans" has to do with the class talisman being reused and morphed over and over across runs, similar to the transmog badge but for retcon? Patojonas 03:00, 14 August 2013 (PDT)
I tend to use Grimm's Bulwark in all runs, except for some Futility Belt runs and a single Maso with class talisman. --Harry Dresden (talk) 09:13, 14 August 2013 (PDT)

After looking at Kinak's hint above I went looking for the date the belt came out and checked how many runs Cris and Khal had since then. Cris has 24 up to the 100th run after which she got the badge, Khal has 29 between the release date and the day he reported its existence. In that period Cris has 3 heirloom runs inheriting talismans, and Khal has 1 heirloom inheriting 1 talisman as well so I'm assuming they used them, which gives a max of 21 and 28 runs with class talismans. I believe Khal had been testing the futility belt in that period so some of those runs are likely to include it, I know Cris did at least 1 futility run in that period since she has dusk's baton, only she can tell if more were done. Maybe it's really similar to the transmog badge but with 20 retcons? Patojonas 13:58, 15 August 2013 (PDT)

I just earned it level 1 going in for level 2. I have been doing a series of runs each with a different talisman. I don't recall how many this was. I did just come off a Dr. Somnambulis' Pocketwatch heirloom run.--Isladar (talk) 07:25, 2 January 2014 (PST)

"I got this badge on both accounts and I did the same thing for both. There needs to be more spading to know for certain how many runs are needed, and which talismans are good for it. But wanted to offer my information to help others.

I did heirloom runs and picked a different talisman then I would normally have for that class. Sometimes it would be a non-specific talisman (like King of Armageddon), but other times I would choose a Psion talisman while being an Elemental. I would then equip that talisman and play the entire run with it." --Yurick --hoyifung04 (talk) 22:23, 11 July 2015 (PDT)

Having made five heirloom runs with the tainted ankh with no merit badge, I can confirm that it's not the latter. --Penguinpyro (talk) 11:20, 1 November 2015 (PST)
