squidopus

You are fighting a squidopus.

Out of the murky gloom, a mutant squidopus approaches you. It's essentially a strange hybrid of a squid and an octopus. The only real apparent difference between it and either of its parents is that it has nine arms.
Your opponent attacks ...

Hit messages:

  • It slaps you with each tentacle, one after another, in rapid succession. Smack, smack, smack, smack, smack, smack, smack, smack, smack!
  • The tentacles grab each of your limbs and pull painfully in opposite directions.
  • Two tentacles grab each arm, and two grab each leg. While it has you pinned the ninth tentacle is free to give you a painful noogie.

It hits you for X damage.

Critical hit message:

Your opponent has a critical hit! It hits you for X damage.

Miss messages:

  • It swipes at you with one long tentacle, but you bite it until it lets go. Mmmm ... calamari ...
  • All nine tentacles lunge your way at the same time, getting badly tangled. The squidopus backs off in order to get things straightened out.
  • Before it attacks, you taunt the squidopus with a crude gesture. Apparently embarrassed, it hides itself in a cloud of ink.

Fumble messages:

Your foe fumbles! It takes X damage.

Victory! You beat up your foe and win the combat!

You gain 61 experience.
