gangster in red |
---|
You are fighting a gangster in red.
A gang member wearing red approaches you. He's carrying what appears to be a sling, which is an odd choice for a weapon. Maybe someone mugged him and took his gun.
Your opponent attacks ...
Hit messages:
- He slaps you twice, once on each cheek. Boy is your face red.
- You read him his rights. The homograph fails to register, and he follows through on his attack.
- He hits you before you're reddy to block. Er, ready. Either way, it hurts.
He hits you for X damage.
Critical hit message:
Your opponent has a critical hit! He hits you for X damage.
Miss messages:
- He tries to slap you twice, and misses both times. Boy is his face red.
- You have his rights read to him. Confused that you might be a cop, he holds back.
- You quickly try to come up with a Grateful Dead parody, involving the line "trouble ahead, gangster in red. Superhero'd better watch your knee-ee-ees." The gangster is put off by your horrible rendition more than anything.

- The second hit and miss messages are a play on words, "red" vs. "read" (past tense).
- The third miss message refers to the song Casey Jones by the Grateful Dead which include the words "Trouble ahead, oh, Lady in red" and "Casey Jones you better watch your speed."
