Check: +22% witnessed non drop. Conclusion: <1/1.22=81.9%.
Checking metal detector:

I recorded 3242 fights, will place the data on the respective talk pages.
Also, since they drop a lot and are a hindrance I only recorded 705 pearl drops from a total of 872 fights, which gives (80.8% ± 2.7%).

Second round of spading due to watercress this time with he spading script, found 1 Kraken so it was worth the time. Just for records on the pearl of wisdom drop rate:
- distempered catfish|pearl of wisdom 79.3 ± 3
- orca with rocket launcher|pearl of wisdom 81.3 ± 3
- rabid dogfish|pearl of wisdom 81.7 ± 2.8
- ravenous guppy|pearl of wisdom 79.4 ± 3.2
- squidopus|pearl of wisdom 79.1 ± 3
Putting them all together we have a (80.1% ± 1.3%) chance for the pearl to drop. Patojonas 07:14, 21 September 2013 (PDT)
