Quest Items are those items that each character is required to obtain and/or use to fulfill a quest. While some are consumed during the course of the quest, others will remain in inventory, until removed on retcon.
Quest items are deliberately set to have no "normal" way to dispose of them so characters cannot find themselves unable to complete a quest because they "accidentally" sold or traded away the necessary item.
