Could giving verbal commands to a computer mouse be a reference to Scotty talking into the computer mouse in Star Trek IV?--Muhandes 13:58, 7 July 2009 (UTC)

Most definitely, since, as Wikipedia says: "Scotty, McCoy, and Sulu are able to procure the necessary materials to construct the holding tank in exchange for revealing the formula for "transparent aluminum" to a local manufacturer".
