This stuff is a handy magical erasing tool. Rumor has it, if you apply it to a piece of paper, you can make the words written on it completely* disappear!
* For varying definitions of completely, including versions where you have a quarter-inch-thick lump of goo on the paper, and about as much on your fingers, with bits of it flaking off, and the words still showing through at about 50% grey value.

When Used in Combat
You apply the wight-out to your opponent until the opponent has completely disappeared. Most likely because they didn't want to be coated in smelly spectral goo, rather than because of any magical properties of the wight-out. (ends combat without costing time)
