Wulf Ram, like all waylaid people from different dimensions was sent to Professor Kirby's House for Extra-Reality Folks where his strange ways wouldn't affect the already confused denizens of Twilight. This isn't, of course, his actual heart -- that would be gross. This is a piece of the mysterious gem he always carried around and as such, has a portion of his power.
