You hold up the voodoo doll, but it has no reaction to your opponent. Apparently the mojo of your foe is stronger than the voodoo of you.

* You get to fight the same foe on the next adventure, no matter how much in-game time passed (e.g. by resting).
* However, the effect is cleared by rollover, so the item is wasted if used on one's last turn for the day.
* More than one can be used on the same foe. However, although this increases the duration of the effect, it does not affect anything else (the foe is not replicated twice).
* The [[Deja Voodoo]] effect only serves as a reminder. Replication does not depend on the effect being active, nor does replication occur when the effect is on without using the item (e.g. by multiple uses or leftover time from previous foes).
