So, we should start spading the mechanism for receiving these items. I'm guessing that they are only given to active players (logged in during last 60 days), and only to those who can wear them (i.e. a level 3 is not going to receive anything stronger than Fortune), but these are on thoughts I had, with no proof. From what Cris has said, each item has certain triggers that, when met, gives a chance to obtain the weapon. Only one of each weapon is awarded, but it is possible none are given. No player can receive more than one Armament a day. --[[User:Hoyifung04|hoyifung04]] 20:58, 10 August 2011 (PDT)

I got the star on my alt (Delmar) after completing the Cube adventure. I did some damage with skills and spells, namely Animal Kung-Follery and Ice Bolt. Delmar was a Level 10 Psion when I got this. I got the shadow again, but for the first time on this character. I just retconed and this is only the second day of this run. I built a light cycle, though, before I retconed. I received Wraith today on my main which at present is a level 6 gadgeteer. The particulars are I spent my entire day one of a retcon on Teeter Street trying to harvest data from the xp non-combat. I ended up getting beaten up a ton so I'm leaning towards thinking that losing fights has a part to play in getting Wraith. Given how it seems to arrive on day two for people who do get it I'm going to go out on a limb and say being the most beaten up person on day one of a retcon is a potential trigger. I've received Claw today at rollover with a level 36 gadgeteer which is my second time getting it (First instance was on the 3rd at level 30) since I began leveling at the Castle. Only irregular thing I am doing is burning a lot of clockwork keys to try and speed leveling along. One of my alts got Shadow the day after finding one of those cursed scraped elijah bots. Also, spent the day before finding it looking for it with the same equipment. To do so I had 4 sources of noncombats and curiously the weapon itself is a source of noncombats. Spent all my turns in the Joke day zone only had about 16 turns after midnight hit(joke day closes at 12.) so didn't bother to use them and let them rollover to today(Stopped adventuring at like 12:03 or something). Didn't go to soho, didn't use lightcycle, had neutral noncombat(nothing gave that stat I was wearing) I did make some xentrium boots tho so maybe the elija bot guy was building something? I'm guessing that they are only given to active players (logged in during last 60 days), and only to those who can wear them (i.e. a level 3 is not going to receive anything stronger than Fortune), but these are on thoughts I had, with no proof. I received Wraith today on my main which at present is a level 6 gadgeteer. The particulars are I spent my entire day one of a retcon on Teeter Street trying to harvest data from the xp non-combat. I ended up getting beaten up a ton so I'm leaning towards thinking that losing fights has a part to play in getting Wraith. Given how it seems to arrive on day two for people who do get it I'm going to go out on a limb and say being the most beaten up person on day one of a retcon is a potential trigger. Here is the song stuff before and after combats:
Because your day is night alone, and you feel like letting go, your axe bursts into the music for Brainwave's "Everyvillain Hurts." So hold on, hold on, because every villain hurts, sometimes ... You hear the first few notes of Jen Melonball's "Hurts So Bad" coming from the axe, but sometimes a fight ends like it should, so you put the brakes on the instrument.

At the start of the fight your axe rips into the Gregarious Undead's "Friend of the Hero." It sets out runnin but it takes its time, while your sidekick sings the lines: "If I stop crime before daylight, I just might find some peeeeeace toniiii-ight."
As the fight wraps up your axe tries to carry on over to a more mellow "I've Got a Friend" by Tames Jailor, but winter, spring, summer, or fall, it's not loud enough to keep you going in a fight so you skip the tune.

Your axe kicks off a rendition of "Money for Nothing and Your Chips for Free." That's the way you do it, you play the hero on the Twilight street. Wailin' on the villains like a chimpanzee.
Somewhere in mid-fight the song must have ended, because now you're hearing the final notes of the classic "Hero You're a Rich Man" from the Beatless. How does it feel? It feels good, actually.

Like a distant smokestack on the horizon, your axe strums the muffled, uneasy notes of Purple Flynn's "Uncomfortably Numb." Your opponent asks you to show them where it hurts, and you wisely refuse-that'll make it harder for them to hurt you. (no aftercombat message)

Your axe plays the Atlantis Morrisey tune "Hand in Their Pocket" for the duration of the encounter. You're broke and you're not happy, you're poor and you mind. Put your hand in their pocket, and see what you find. What it all comes down to, is that everything's gonna be quite alright, because you've got one hand in their pocket, and the other hand is stuffing loot in your backpack.
As the fight wraps up your instrument hits a few notes from another song you recognize but can't remember the name. But you're reassured to hear "You want it all but you can have it" in the background.

Like poetry in music, with a flash of harmony, your axe begins to play "She Blinded Me with Violence" from Einstein-Bose Condensate. Your opponent had better look out, or you'll blind them with violence, and stun them with this machinery. (no aftercombat message)

You feel a hot wind on your elbow, as you face this nasty fellow. You hear the walking of the villain, crime gives you that funny feelin'. Your axe is playin' - whoah - "Twilight Radio," by Ball of Hoodoo.
It must be two-song Tuesday because your combat ends the double set with a rendition of "Man It's So Loud Out Here" by He's No Cyclops.

Also occassionally gives the choice to Go: There will be Trouble or Stay: It will be double against a foe.
Going gave me 100 xp, and took 8 hp at level 47 versus a clockwork beetle
Staying added 21 xp (42 FT) against several different foes, and made it much more difficult

I noticed no extra pp gains. At least one is a chip gain, but i didnt notice which it was.

Hey guys, the 3 items here (Shadow Mist's Iron Scythe, Captain Nocturnal's Serpent Skin Pants, Pawn of Destruction) are what appeared for me after my first retcon run with a 12-mettle Naturalist (no food or sidekick restrictions, 5 pulls/day, no skills). I guess we can't say for sure what unlocked what, although it seems likely that the scythe and pants are class-related. It's nice that everyone is adding new items, but it would be good if we agree on some kind of way of ordering items. My propositions: 
1) alphabetically - the most obvious one, though not too good imo 
2) by mettle cost - also quite obvious, but again there are better solutions
