So Ryme admitted that this badge was accidentally set as "Ryme Only" and only recently did he find out and change it. Also this it the badge that is nicknamed 'the Halloween badge' because one of his hints for it was "most likely to be found on Halloween" --Zillow--
:You're reading too much into his comments. He said the "Halloween badge" was set to him only and that he fixed it. He never said if this was or wasn't the "Halloween badge". Cristiona
And consuming 2 of each of the original 3 didnt work --Zillow--
That pretty much rules out Halloween candies, so unless it has to do with costumes (which werent a part of the first Halloween) we have to assume that this ISNT the Halloween badge. Where's the party? What no cake?... Maybe it has to do with the birthday party in the back of the house at the casino? going to it x number of times? Ill be trying that out when I get home. Did a 3 mettle run, unlocked the 3rd chess piece. Considering it was just a trainee run, possible reward for 5 completed retcons? Strlike. 15:00, 9 October (BST)
:Yeah, I guess the knight is for 4 runs (or 5 as you say, but we're not counting the first). Odd that there is not necessarily a 3rd run reward. Regarding the sidekick book, I know we were talking about the theory that it's unlocked by having all 4 quadrants, and it's true that I'm missing one, which could be the reason I have not unlocked it. Any other ideas? --Prestige 15:48, 9 October 2010 (PDT)
:Unlocked the Owner's manual after completing my 4th Gadgeteer retcon (3rd not counting initial timeline; 16, 13 and 13 Mettle), so it doesn't have anything to do with having all 4 quadrants. --Tasfal 11:28, 19 October 2010 (CET)
I guess we can't say for sure what unlocked what, although it seems likely that the scythe and pants are class-related.
It's nice that everyone is adding new items, but it would be good if we agree on some kind of way of ordering items. My propositions:
1) alphabetically - the most obvious one, though not too good imo
2) by mettle cost - also quite obvious, but again there are better solutions
Hey guys, the 3 items here (Shadow Mist's Iron Scythe, Captain Nocturnal's Serpent Skin Pants, Pawn of Destruction) are what appeared for me after my first retcon run with a 12-mettle Naturalist (no food or sidekick restrictions, 5 pulls/day, no skills). I guess we can't say for sure what unlocked what, although it seems likely that the scythe and pants are class-related. It should also be noted that mettle are free pulls, so you can save them up and don't have to worry about leadins. --Prestige 01:55, 30 September 2010 (PDT)
Hello! 6 items in my store - the 2 class pieces, 2 caffiene item, the pawn and a class avatar. I was at 16 points. No sidekick here, so im guessing Maso brings the big rewards. Strlikecrazy 1/10/2010
A Grimdark (17 mettle, max points except for full consumables) gadgeteer run got me 2 pieces of gear, the pawn and the avatar. So apparently sugarless unlocks caffeine, and presumably caffeine-less unlocks sugar. I wonder if naturally hyper unlocks something special. -- TeKRunneR
Order
It's nice that everyone is adding new items, but it would be good if we agree on some kind of way of ordering items. My propositions:
1) alphabetically - the most obvious one, though not too good imo
2) by mettle cost - also quite obvious, but again there are better solutions
3) grouping similar, then by mettle cost within each group - consumables as first group, then classless items, finally class restricted - that's my choice.
--Shikao 12:08, 3 October 2010 (PDT)

Shouldn't we order it by the way it shows in the actual shop in-game? Granted no-one can see all items at once in there yet but once they can it just seems like it would be nice to keep the order tha same as in-game. --Zillow--

: What Zillow said. For now just add in whatever order you see in-game, and if not sure, where-ever you feel like. Once you see from in-game that the order is incorrect, fix it. --Muhandes 00:32, 4 October 2010 (PDT)
Edivad 04:58, 28 September 2010 (PDT)
:Hey guys, just though I'd add my experience... I was a level 25 Elementalist, lost to him several times, got only the chip. --Prestige 07:16, 29 September 2010 (PDT)
:So far I beat him on my three chars on different lvls, got only chip always. It seems that elemental is hardest, the only class I can't beat him with. I tried pumping spell dmg, other time going with max resistances, now I pile up absorbation gear, maybe this will work --Shikao 07:54, 29 September 2010 (PDT)
: I'm thinking the drops might be related to the amount of adjusting he does. fought him when he only adjusted defense and got NOTHING. not even a blue chip. --Muhandes 07:16, 1 October 2010 (PDT)
:: Hmm, now I wish I had copied down the messages when I fought him as a level 11 nat. I know I got only one "Not liking what he senses..." message, but I don't remember what stat it referred to. I also got only a blue chip in that run. --Prestige 07:28, 1 October 2010 (PDT)

Got in on all 4 chars on first runs and so far 1 in 3 second runs. Also noticed that last time I got chip was after seeing "Apparently feeling cocky, the Mick picks up a coin from his desk, flips it once, and drops it into a pocket."--Shikao 09:44, 6 October 2010 (PDT)
: I think those messages are the hints. If people can be specific as to what message they got and what dropped it would be great. So far I can say what I got:
:* No message: no drops
:* he Mick takes a moment to clear a couple of things: coin + 2 other drops.
: I can also say I got those messages after excessively buffing myself, and getting at least two adjustments.
: --Muhandes 14:34, 6 October 2010 (PDT)
::I wonder what the "coin flipping" message means. In my last run, I lost to him several times, but at the beginning of combat, I sometimes got the coin message and sometimes didn't, even though my buffs and equipment were (as far as I can recall) the same during multiple attempts. --Prestige 15:58, 6 October 2010 (PDT)
:: I had only one adjustment when I got coin and all possible Naturalist buffs at that moment + yellow pill. I lost the first time and on second attempt, adjustemnts were exactly the same. --Shikao 22:06, 6 October 2010 (PDT)
: I just the "flip a coin message" which only got me the blue chip. Anecdotal, but so far it works. "flip a coin" = blue chip. "clear a couple of things" = 3 items. --Muhandes 02:06, 7 October 2010 (PDT)

Fought him again, got the 'shield', 'evasive subroutine activated' and 'coin' special messages at the start. He only dropped a blue chip.
add-on: level 11 gadgeteer, had LOTS of buffs on(no item restrictions run), and had a significant amount of +dodge from equip.
Edivad 04:31, 7 October 2010 (PDT)

Only got the "attach a suitable shield to his exosuit" message, no drop. Level 11 gadgeteer, no +to-hit or +to-dodge, a bit of +ranged damage, and 10 DA. --TeKRunneR 04:43, 7 October 2010 (PDT)
Slick! It seems like the walk will never end, but it does. Oh, does it ever. You get about a third of the way across when both feet slide in opposite directions. You can't recover before falling face first onto the beam and then sliding off into the pool of oil. Now you know what a french fry feels like. You lose 82 HP. -Sole Legend
Slick! It seems like the walk will never end. It's insufferably hot, and the bubbling oil keeps flicking hot droplets onto you. You almost slip several times but you manage to stay upright and make it across. You must have better balance than you thought!
:Hi Muhandes, I noticed you erased the "Only available in aftercore" note from the Pawn of Destruction. But for me, that parenthetical note is literally written there next to the item in Nocturne's Shop, and its radio button is grayed out. So what's up with that? A difference in our run types? --Prestige 08:15, 1 October 2010 (PDT)
