Computers & Software
There are two computers that can be constructed depending on the components available and whether your hero has Supercomputer Skills. These are assembled and used in the Computer Lab. Even super heroes need help once in a while, so be sure to pick up a copy of the Electronic computer instructions or the Positronic computer instructions, both available from Aaron's All-Night Electronics.

Electronic computer
1

Positronic computer
Gadgeteer heroes with Supercomputer Skills can build a Positronic computer which is faster than the Electronic computer.

Software
What good is a computer without software? For now that means Vlad's Decryptonomicon software, available at Aaron's All-Night Electronics, and handy for decrypting the Mangled data plate into:

*City map code
*Financial spreadsheet code
*Physiology scan code
*Signal processing code
*Statistical analysis code

These codes may then be combined to form software:

*Cyberpunk is a subgenre of science fiction, in which William Gibson was a pioneer. Neuromancer is one of his most well-known novels.
*"Welcome to My Mind", "Teknojihad", "Shock on the Wire", and "Down on the Ground" are titles of songs performed by the nineties techno group Psykosonik, whose lyrics often contained cyberpunk themes.
*The rest of the combat messages, as well as the enemy description, reference the Billy Idol album Cyberpunk, especially the songs "Neuromancer" and "Mother Dawn".
The Bard's Play

This is the complete works of The Bard. No, not Shakespeare. That would be much too heavy. This is the contemporary bard. His complete works only extend five pages. But just from glancing at those pages you can tell five pages is plenty. For one thing, he appears to have tried to one-up his predecessor by writing in iambic hexameter. While you were surprised to find that's actually a valid poetic format, it's still a silly thing to do.

After defeating the Bard

You pick up the the play and start to read ...

You read the script from front to back. It's really bad. It reminds you of the time you and The Bard battled it out on the stage of life.

When used without turns

You pick up the the play and start to read ...

It's late, and you're too tired to read right now. Maybe you should try again tomorrow
