Whirlwind
I saw that the whirlwind badge is listed as being earned by making a very fast run, but I can verify that that's not the case. I played for a while, then left for three years. When I came back, I finished up all of the new content very quickly. Within one or two (real time) days. I'm not sure what exactly triggered it, but my run took over three years. No badge for a bad gambling habit. I just "used" over 400 lottery tickets and no badge. - Hodag
No improved Delayed Gratification for 10 levels (went from level 40 to 50 in one shot)- Isabou
2 hints for merit badges given out during Tea Tyme with Ryme 4.
"One unfound badge is most likely to be discovered on Halloween."
"Another involves a sidekick"
As far as the sidekick, being in combat with all permanent ones, using 11 different non-perm ones and attacking once with them then dismissing have been tested.
For Halloween, eating 2 of each Halloween candy has been done --Zillow--

No badge for encountering all (known) villains, or, by extension, having all their stuff (at least in its current form), whether or not you've opted out of the limelight after doing so. --Dogberry, 2 Dec 2009 8:24 AM CST

Template Thingie
I noticed that none of the individual merit badge pages link back to this page. Aside from items used on the badge pages, they're all dead-ends. Could the template be modified to include a link back to this page? Perhaps the link could be in the green bar at the top? Cristiona 03:42, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
Known Hints
Ryme has been known to say that there is a badge involving a usable sidekick, and one that is most likely to be found on Halloween.
I also talked to him once and he said that there is a badge that is "impossible" to get, although when questioned further he said that eventually someone with the right idea will find it... --Zillow--
: You added some "unknowns" in between badges. Is this based on something? Do you know where the new badges fit in the order? --Muhandes 06:19, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
: Yes, I asked Ryme in chat and he said that number 8, 16, 17, and 20 were missing Zillow

As of August 8th someone is 25% of the way to the new badge (the one that came out July 21st) and Ryme says it "Would be trivial to get in one day, if someone was inclined." Zillow

Sybil
We know that Sybil lives before the RRRR badge. But how it relates to the Grandmaster of Retcon badge is still in question. Once someone has both badges, we should consider arranging this page again. Not sure if that's a 'needs spading' or an 'incomplete'? --Lxndr 15:17, 11 January 2011 (PST)
: No need to do anything, it will take at most three days to know. --Muhandes 00:41, 12 January 2011 (PST)
: Sybil comes after Grandmaster. --Harry Dresden 18:35, 13 January 2011 (PST)
So it can't be that.

My fastest run is 23h 41m 9s, not especially fast. --Muhandes 07:23, 21 February 2011 (PST)
:: I just got it yesterday, so if it was something I'd just qualified for, it had to come between Levels 7 and 8. All the journal-y stuff I did between those times -- unlocked the Zion's Tears building, A Familiar Figure, Demiurge defeated in around an hour and 18 minutes from the first thing to the last. I don't know it it tracks stuff from earlier runs, but that particular sequence seems pretty quick to me. I guess the badge could be set up by holding off on John Steele, counsel Harry, and the Bard... and if they weren't enough, wait to do each of those until immediately after finishing a fourth quest. --Jesus 23:08, 21 February 2011 (PST)
I haven't done my retcon in quite a while (18 days back in Nov 2010). I just went to the guild today and I qualify for this badge. This is likely something that was tracked before, and is awarding badges now. What it could be I have no idea. It's based on something that was tracked. It was only recently activated, so it can be for historical actions. Cristiona
: Saying that it is tracked is like saying Carmen Sandiego is somewhere in the world. Is it openly tracked (i.e. can a player view it in profile/journal) or is it hiddenly tracked, like resting time and ending battle hp? --Blackmatter615 13:36, 22 March 2011 (PDT)
::::: Interesting about Zircon's first run. Also, its definitely NOT straight up time. Looking at TekRunner's profile, he has several runs under 32 hours, including one 30h 17m 10s run, but no badge. Seeing as some people have 30-32 hr runs with badge, and some dont, it doesnt make snes to be purely time. --Blackmatter615 11:55, 30 March 2011 (PDT)
Not about speed runs. I came back to the game about 3 years after I stopped playing. I finished up a ton of new stuff that was added on my first day (real life 24 hours). When I went to train again, I got this thing. I haven't completed the game once (meaning I haven't used the Retcon thing yet).
