|desc=You find yourself in what appears to be the control room for the building maintenance crew. There are a few computers and a few pipes, but most everything is locked down pretty tight, behind grates or bars or metal cages. You could break through eventually, but not without triggering a lot of alarms and calling the entire building down on you at once. Trapped in a dead-end corridor, that would be complete suicide.

Oh, but wait! What's this? One of the computers is close enough to a grating that you can get to its CD drive. The eject button is deactivated, though (good security, that). You can see the little pinhole for the physical eject override, but when you check your inventory you can't find anything to poke in there. Shame. If you had access to the drive you could probably root the computer pretty quickly, and at that point you might be able to get those elevators turned back on.
