skinless one

You are fighting a skinless one.

At first, you think you've found the horrid remains of some unlucky hero. You look around for a shovel to bury the flayed corpse until it starts to move. Oh, ick. It's attacking you!
Your opponent attacks ...

Hit messages:

  • Skinless lips turn into a sneer, and it describes to you, in great detail, all of the strictures of its cult. After the first couple rituals, you're utterly horrified. damage
  • It summons swirling, biting wind. In this case, biting refers to temperature, not literal biting. Of course, in this horrible place, the later actually seems more likely. damage
  • It pulls you into a bear-hug, its slimy, gooey arms are surprisingly strong, and you think you hear something crack. damage

it hits you for X damage.

Critical hit message:

Your opponent has a critical hit! it hits you for X damage.

Miss messages:

  • It pulls you into a bear-hug, its slimy, gooey arms are surprisingly strong, and you think you hear something crack. Turns out, it's the monster's arm. Guess it wasn't very durable.
  • It summons swirling, biting wind. In this case, biting refers to temperature, not literal biting. Being a good little hero, you're wearing your scarf, so you're okay.
  • Skinless lips turn into a sneer, and it describes to you, in great detail, all of the strictures of its cult. But you've seen plenty of horror movies, so it actually sounds kind of tame.

Fumble messages:

Your foe fumbles! it takes X damage.
