fool's-gold star
Plural: fool's-gold stars
Initial inspection makes this star look like one of the coveted gold stars you've seen other heroes wearing, but after taking it by a jeweler they inform you that this thing is made from worthless iron pyrite instead of valuable gold. What a bummer.
