the Night Mare
Plural: Unknown; currently impossible to determine
The Night Mare was something like the perennial companion, and she served as a faithful steed to numerous heroes over the years. No mere mount, she is an ageless horse with a willful mind of her own. It's said that she only allows those she deems worthy to even come near her, all others are usually greeted by a swift kick to the shins. Once she finds someone worthy of her, she is faithful and will serve until the hero dies, retires, or is no longer thought to be worthy.
Ever alert, the Night Mare has been known to save distracted heroes, as well as to wade into battle. She's utterly fearless, tireless, and quite possibly the best horse you'll ever meet.
