ceremonial knife
Plural: ceremonial knives
The Pump are a mysterious race (related to the Mole People) that live deep under Twilight. They live on various types of fungus that grow well in their dank, dark tunnels. There's some trade between the Pump and the surface world, but it is always handled via intermediaries, as the Pump are quite reclusive. These intermediaries are humans that have gone through bizarre rituals to become accepted family of the Pump. Those who have been fully accepted and authorized as "kin" are given these knives as a symbol of their status.
You're not entirely sure how such a thing has found its way to the Wok, but you've never had an overabundance of curiosity where this sort of thing was concerned before, now have you? Regardless, while this knife was designed as a badge of one's station, it's still very well made and is perfectly serviceable as a weapon.
