You toss the hieroglyphic slot machine the pyramid chip.
Your opponent attacks ... Your foe fumbles! It takes 22 damage.
The wheels click into place one after the other. You don't seem to have won anything, but can see some lumbering piles of knives leaving the casino. So... that's probably good.
The machine gives a grinding sound as it takes 77 damage due to years of neglect. /end
You toss the hieroglyphic slot machine the pyramid chip.
Your opponent attacks ... The bandit tries to choke you out, but it's hard with only one arm.
The wheels reveal three suns. According to the payout sheet, that means turning off the sun lamps for a while. Which is good, because those things suck up power like you wouldn't believe.
The machine gives a grinding sound as it takes 89 damage due to years of neglect.
Your opponent attacks ... Your opponent has a critical hit! The slot machine strikes you with the disappointment of a thousand patrons. It hits you for 45 (psychic) damage.
The battle quickly dissolves into a psychedelic dream sequence. Your opponent grows to immense size amid a swarm of flying elephants, symbolizing... I don't know, your inner doubt or something?
The pyramids align and fall out of the little prize chute. Well, looks like you're up one on the transaction.
You got an item: 2 pyramid chips
The machine gives a grinding sound as it takes 87 damage due to years of neglect. (+160 Accuracy, +160 Offense) (for this last one, it was a pair of pyramids that showed up on the slots. i think mummies only piss it off.)
A bunch of blades:
Robot arms emerge from the slot machine, sharpening all your weapons for you. Talk about service!
You gain an effect: Automatic Sharpening. (Added for 60 minutes.)
Three pyramids:
Your opponent attacks ... The slot machine attacks you with the disappointment of a thousand patrons, but you know you're the one who's going to go home with the jackpot.
The pyramids align like Orion's belt and fall from the machine like stars. Okay, maybe you're making things a little overly dramatic.
You got an item: 3 pyramid chips
A blade and two mummies:
Your opponent attacks ... The bandit tries to choke you out, but it's hard with only one arm.
The wheels click into place one after the other. You don't seem to have won anything, but can see some lumbering piles of knives leaving the casino. So... that's probably good. (might disable knife golem as an encounter for a while? but not long. maybe 5-10 encounters, tops)
The machine gives a grinding sound as it takes X damage due to years of neglect.
A sun and two blades:
Your opponent attacks ... The slot machine attacks you with the disappointment of a thousand patrons, but you know you're the one who's going to go home with the jackpot.
The wheels reveal a sun and two blades. According to the payout sheet, the prize is cutting back on water consumption, which I think everybody can sort of get behind. (seems to disable Rinse Cycle as an encounter for ?? minutes?)
The machine gives a grinding sound as it takes X damage due to years of neglect.
Three suns:
Your opponent attacks ... The wheels are spinning so fast it's like a stop motion animation of you dodging a slot machine's attacks.
The wheels reveal three suns. According to the payout sheet, that means turning off the sun lamps for a while. Which is good, because those things suck up power like you wouldn't believe. (Mr. Golden Sunlamp should be disabled for...?? minutes)
A blade and some other stuff:
The wheels spin into place and you win a free knife! Thanks to some maintenance issues, it's lodged in your chest for X damage.
A sun and a pair of pyramids:
Your opponent attacks ... The bandit tries to choke you out, but it's hard with only one arm.
The wheels reveal a sun and two pyramids. According to the payout sheet, it's temporarily disabling the sandpit. Which really makes you wonder why they have it in the first place.
(did not receive pyramid chips, but Running Out disabled for ?? minutes?)
A mummy and some other stuff:
Adds 50 to Accuracy, Defense, Dodge, Offense (machine growls angrily)
A pyramid and some other stuff:
You're a winner! Well, technically, it just dropped out one chip, but that's like a free play, right?
You got an item: pyramid chip
Key points:
- "The wheels reveal a pair of mummies. You're not sure if it's the prize, but the machine gets angrier and angrier." (+ Accuracy, Defense, Dodge, Offense)
- Each mummy should add 50.
- Pair of Pyramids and Three Pyramids drop 2 and 3 pyramid chips, respectively
