Rubble-field.gif

You pause for a moment to survey the activity of hundreds of workers and dozens of heroes scurrying around the mass of rubble, trying to make a dent in the pile of rocks. Two particular activities catch your eye. To your left a small handful of people are milling around, not really doing much, apparently looking for something to do but not sure where to start. To your right you see a number of men and women struggling with a large rock that they're not quite able to pick up.

Options:

  • Take charge of the slackers
  • Help out with the big rock

If you chose Take charge of the slackers:

You Da Boss!
Seeing a need for some direction, you step up and show some of the other workers who's boss by, well, telling them what to do. You don't personally move all that much rock (X pounds isn't bad), but the others do a great job under your leadership, and you gain N XP for your instruction.

If you chose Help out with the big rock:

You Da Man (or Woman)!
You volunteer to join the crew trying to move the really big rock. You recall the ancient quip about moving a mountain if only someone else would lift it first, and you think there's some real truth to the idea. Still, with your help you manage to get the rock rolling and clear it out of the way, doing far more collectively than any of you would have done individually. You could probably call it Y pounds for your personal contribution.
