MacRuff's Mercantile Monitor software
Plural: disks of MacRuff's Mercantile Monitor software
There are rumors that the initial variant of this code was originally dreamed up and written by a team of kidnapped quadruplets who were attempting to provide clues to the identity of their own kidnapper, but you don't really believe it. Sure, the software has a freakish tendency to send you to the same address over and over, but you've checked it out and the mild-mannered old man with the German accent who lives there is completely harmless. Outside of that, this software is a far more effective indicator of impending criminal activity than all those "clues" and "hunches" that Officer Rand is always talking about.
