You're just about to follow a suspicious-looking character into a dark alley when you kick something with your foot. The man you're following apparently hears the noise because he gets spooked and runs. You look down and realize that what you've kicked is a wallet.

You pick it up and look inside. There's no money or credit cards, but there is a driver's license and some other personal items. The address on the ID is for an apartment just around the corner, so you figure the right thing to do is to return it to its owner.

The old man who answers the door seems suspicious, and only cracks open the door, leaving the security chain in place. Even when you slide him the wallet through the the crack he's not impressed. "Hey, I had fifty dollars in here," he says. "And where are my credit cards?" You explain that's exactly how you found the wallet, but he just harrumphs and shuts the door without so much as a thanks.

It's kind of depressing, really, when you think about it, but you console yourself with the knowledge that you did the right thing.

You gain 15 experience.
