old coin
Plural: Unknown
This is a funny old coin that might have been what they used before the casinos took over Twilight's currency and converted everything to chips. Then again, you don't remember any coins with a hole in the middle back then, so maybe it's from somewhere else. As it's not a chip, these days the value is limited strictly to its worth as a collector's item.

When Used

You get out the coin and begin dancing it around on your knuckles, like only superheroes and people in books can. A street urchin wanders out of a nearby alley and stands, watching. You smile at the kid and say, "If you can guess which hand I hide this in, you can have it." Then with a deft move you fold up your hands and make the coin disappear in a way only magicians and people on TV can.

The kid picks a hand, and you show him that both hands are empty. The kid surprises you by breaking into a tirade of broken English. "I very little! You cheat very big! No fair!" He doesn't quit shouting until you toss him the coin (you were going to give it to him anyway), and then the little smart-aleck starts following you around like you've done him a real favor.
