The Sickbay is located in the Space Station.

  • If you enter the sickbay with less than your maximum number of hit points, you will get the following message:

The sickbay doctor checks you out by waving a small humming wand over your kneecap for a few seconds. She says, "You appear to be in need of medical assistance. If you'd like help, you've got two choices. We can have you fill out a worker's comp form and we ought to have clearance in a few weeks to fix you up for free." The doc waves at a clipboard piled about three inches high with papers, sees your frown, and continues. "Or you can just give me the chips for the medical supplies and I can take care of you now. I'm guessing it would take about X chips for all the supplies you'd need."

If you choose to pay up:

The sickbay doc patches you up until you're as good as new.

  • If you enter the sickbay with your maximum number of hit points, then you will get the following message:

The sickbay holds a strange humming wand next to your ear for a moment and then looks up in surprise. "You don't seem to be hurt," she says. "We can't have any slackers here. Get back to work!" She pushes you back out the door and leaves you standing in the hallway.

Notes

  • It costs 4 chips for each hit point you want to restore.
