D-bug

You are fighting a D-bug.

You're not sure whether this is a bug caused by a misplaced letter d, or a bug that appears in the shape of a d, but that doesn't really even matter now, does it?
Your opponent attacks ...

Hit messages:

  • You try to hide in the safety of a DOS shell, but it's set its attrib to +pain.
  • You try to code a quick Fortran fort, but it washes the fort away with a tsunami of C.
  • The d-bug tries to compile you. When the compile fails, it goes for disassembly instead.

It hits you for X damage.

Critical hit message:

Your opponent has a critical hit! It hits you for X damage.

Miss messages:

  • It lobs a live grenade at you, but you quickly defrag it.
  • It attacks with a knife made from a C# shell, but you've already got your Perl defenses up.
  • It tries to disassemble you, but apparently it's coded in assembly language and doesn't know how to disassemble.

Fumble messages:

Your foe fumbles! It takes X damage.

Victory! You beat up your foe and win the combat!

You gain 50 experience.
