Great Scott! It's like this thing was pushed forward into the past from some dystopian future where they've stopped holding sporting events because everyone knows who's going to win anyway, and now the forces of chaos and order hang in the balance.

In small print on the inside of the shield says "Aegis Protection Corporation is a subdivision of Bregna Industries. Aegis Corporation: now with less ligature!"

When Used

Your shield begins to vibrate, starting at a low hum and rising to a cream, something like a buzz saw, or a wounded soldier, or a teddy bear. Sheltered behind the shield you're only slightly discomfited, but it rattles your foe with X damage.

A storm of electric bolts fly from the surface of your shield and zap your foe for X.X gigawatts of damage.

You release a blast powerful heat from the surface of your shield. Biff! It burns your foe for X damage.

• Available in The Wok of Stars during December 2007 for 10 silver stars.
• When you log out, the shield loses its "charge".

• The first part of the item description is a reference to the movie Back to the Future Part II, although the "Flux Capacitor" (with its distinctive triune tubes duplicated on the item image) first appears in the first Back to the Future movie. "X point X gigawatts" and "Biff" are also BttF movie references.
