Off to the side of one of the buildings, you find a ventilation shaft. Feeling especially heroic, you decide to act in a manner befitting your idiom; specifically, you duck into the duct and start crawling.

Eventually, you find yourself tumbling out of the shaft and into the control room for the Rig's primary defense system: the Waterline Arsenal Roundabout. It's basically a series of guns all mounted on a giant wheel that turns, allowing for a nearly continuous stream of fire, kind of like a demented Gatling gun.

You're spotted by a lone Pax Verde agent who charges at you, brandishing a lead pipe. Thinking quickly you shout out, "Wait! We can't fight in here! This is the WAR room!" The operative looks at you blankly and you point off to the side, "See! The big board!" As the agent turns to look where you're pointing, you grab his pipe and conk him on the back of the head, knocking him out.

As you look the unconscious eco-terrorist over, you discover that he was the team commander for this assault. Included in his pockets are a set of keys to the mini-sub they took to get here. You didn't know that mini-subs had keys, but you decide to swipe them and see if you can figure out why they decided to attack right at this moment.

Ducking through the combat, you find the min-sub docked next to the oil rig and hop in. It has a preprogrammed return course, and, never being one to ignore serendipity, you fire it up and let it do the driving.

Soon, you find yourself diving deeper and deeper under the surface of the bay. As the mini-sub putters away, you notice a massive squid-like shape pass by. Figures. You finally see a Kraken and you're stuck in a spot of plot development and can't fight it.

Anyway, you soon find yourself docking with an underwater base that you never knew existed. As you pull in, you notice a large sign proclaiming this to be "Livia la Frostheim's Secret Underwater Base". Huh. Guess she figures that nobody will find it by mistake.
