Nodens is considered by some fanatics to be the Lord of the Great Abyss. You've somehow managed to get his trident, which is the symbol of his power. Ever seen that mermaid cartoon? The old guy who could totally ruin everyone's day with his trident? This is sort of like that. Just point and watch the magic destruction shoot out from it.
