faceless god

You are fighting a faceless god.

A massive horror rises up in front of you. The whole thing looks to be made of a kind of living stone. Its shape is that of the Great Sphinx from Egypt, but it wears a crown, and where its face should be, there's only an expanse of stars. My god, it's full of stars!
Your opponent attacks ...

Hit messages:

  • Power crackles over its body, apparently caused by the dry air from its desert home. It gently touches you, but the static charge is far from gentle. (electric) damage
  • It lowers its head, giving you a good look at the stars that make up its face. The infinite expanse of the cosmos shows you just how insignificant you are. (psychic) damage
  • It lifts a huge stone paw and bats at you. And then it does it again. And then it pounces you. Now you know how a mouse feels when a cat "plays" with it.

it hits you for X damage.

Your opponent has a critical hit! it hits you for X damage.

Miss messages:

  • It lifts a huge stone paw and bats at you, but you dive forward and run under the monster, making it waste time turning around.
  • Power crackles over its body, apparently caused by the dry air from its desert home. It tries to touch you, but you duck and it hits a conveniently placed lightning rod instead.

Fumble messages:

Your foe fumbles! it takes X damage.
