This is an ancient spear of considerable power with a ridiculously long and involved history. Ply an old-timer with enough booze and they just might talk your ear off and tell you the trope-filled story.
Regardless of the veracity of the story, this is a pretty sweet weapon for your average work-a-day super hero. It'll make you feel like a fabled hero from a northern land. Now all you need is a magic helmet to complete the set.

You trigger a switch that causes the spear to extend. It loses some of its small-weapon charm, and becomes much more deadly.
You got an item: Atmos Spear (extended) 
When equipped grants a combat skill Call down lightning from the skies:
- You grip the Atmos Spear tightly and reach up into the skies above with your mind. Energy gathers at your call, pooling in the sky and then blasting downward to sear your opponent with a massive jolt of electricity. Your opponent takes 50-81 damage.

- You've already called down the lightning a bunch of times strikes today, and there's just no more energy in the dry desert air. You might have to wait until tomorrow for it to work again.
