Emmett is a very confused time traveler who was trying to travel back from the twenty-third century to the twenty-first, but he landed smack-dab in the middle of the Guild for Imaginative Metachronim's park, and now he thinks he's stuck in the sixteenth century instead. You'd feel sorry for the poor guy who's trying to impress Guild members with his "firestarter" and his "boom stick" but he's also using his futuristic exosuit to destroy large swaths of a city park, and that's no good.

• The name is an amalgam of Marty McFly and Emmett Brown, which are the protagonists in the Back to the Future movie trilogy. The hoverboard refers specifically to the hoverboard Marty had in Back to the Future Part II.
