Lepidoptera |
---|
You are fighting the Lepidoptera.
The butterfly's giant wings pump every once in a while, shattering windows and sending workers running for shelter from the winds. As you approach, she leaps from her perch, leaving a cataclysmic windstorm in her wake.
Although the battle seems to be doing some damage to the city, you're sure it's nothing compared to leaving her here. And, really, her themesong is going to get stuck in the entire city's head... which might be some mindcontrol thing, but is probably just really annoying.
Your opponent attacks ...
Hit messages:
- Lepidoptera pulls off a chunk of a building with an antenna and, when you object, bounces it off your head. The little birds circling your head sing her theme song.
- Several bystanders behind you start humming Lepidoptera's theme song. It's no sea shanty, but it's still pretty damn creepy. (psychic) damage
- Lepidoptera pumps her wings, sending a deafening shockwave washing over you. Sweet milkweed! It sounds like her theme song! (sonic) damage
She hits you for X damage.
Critical hit message:
Your opponent has a critical hit! She hits you for X damage.
Miss messages:
- Lepidoptera pulls a chunk of a building with an antenna and, when you object, drops it like a scolded child.
- Several bystanders behind you start singing Lepidoptera's theme song, but they're really off key. Where'd they learn to sing from, Kinak?
- Lepidoptera pumps her wings, sending a deafening shockwave washing over you. But you're just grateful you can't hear her theme song.
Fumble messages:
Your foe fumbles! She takes X damage.
Lepidoptera's wings falter as she collapses in defeat!
Your league gains 5 Prestige!

Notes
- After Lepidoptera has taken some damage, a message shows
- ?-?: Lepidoptera's antennae are starting to droop a bit due to her wounds.
- ?-?: Even Lepidoptera's wings are starting to slow due to her wounds.
- ?-2999: It looks like Lepidoptera can barely stay aloft due to her wounds.
- On rounds when Lepidoptera hits you, she inflicts a status with the following message:
- But the worst part is Lepidoptera's theme song getting stuck in your head. You gain an effect: Earcaterpillar. (Added for 30 minutes.)
- While you have Earcaterpillar, an Opening, "Sing the Caterpillar", is added. Using it removes the effect, with the message:
- You sing as loud as you can into the wing beneath Lepidoptera's wings, getting through X verses before the wind drowns you out.
- At least you got that song out of your head.
- On rounds when she misses, she instead increases her accuracy, defense, dodge, and offense with the message:
- Lepidoptera flaps her wings furiously.
- At the end of each round of combat, Lepidoptera performs a special attack:
- Lepioptera's winds howl around you with elemental fury, tearing at you for X damage and freezing you to the bone for Y (ice) damage.
- Lepioptera's winds howl around you with terrifying fury, dealing X damage to your body and Y (psychic) damage to your mind.
