This is a lump of cryptonase. It's a strange, greenish substance that only seems to form in sewers, and it reportedly contains amazing powers for those who are attuned to it. You, however, are not attuned to it.

How Obtained
When Used
- With no sidekick:
- You reach into your pocket and realize you've got a pocketful of cryptonase. Curious about the stuff, you pull it out and spend a while looking at it. Suddenly a fledgling elemental hero--one whose only weakness is cryptonase, apparently--falls out of the sky, but you catch her before she can smash to the ground. Once you've thrown away the cryptonase she quickly recovers and promises to stick around and help you out as thanks for rescuing her. (Duration: 30 minutes.)
- If you have a different sidekick:
- Your sidekick doesn't seem comfortable around the cryptonase, so you put it away quickly.
- With fledgling elemental hero sidekick:
- You dig up some more cryptonase and destroy it, earning further gratitude from the fledgling elemental hero. She promises to fight by your side for another half hour.
