Roof-silhouette.jpg

You see a sinister figure lurking on a nearby rooftop. With a battlecry for justice you leap after the figure, which quickly turns and runs. After a minute of pursuit, the figure ducks around a corner and you hear numerous voices shouting. Cautiously you peek around the corner a few moments later, to see a diverse party of four heroes picking themselves up from the ground. "We've gotta stop that guy!" you shout. All four heroes jump to action, each in their own way.

The psion says, "Help me think of a way to outsmart him!" while the gadgeteer says "Help me rig up a gadget to trap him!" The naturalist says, "No, we've got to hunt him down like an animal!"

Who do you want to partner with?

Options:

  • Help the psion think
  • Help the gadgeteer build

Thoughtful
Siding with the psion, you sit down to do some intensive thinking. Pretty soon you've got city maps, traffic flow charts, escape route probability analyses, and all kinds of info put together. Eventually you realize the opponent is long gone, but it was a good mental workout.

If you chose Help the gadgeteer build:

Fast-Acting
You and the gadgeteer start emptying out your pockets and quickly rig up a whole series of traps and alarms with the available gear. In your enthusiasm to dive into the work the foe escapes, but it was good practice.

If you chose Help the naturalist chase:

Strong
You and the naturalist set off in a dead sprint, racing each other across the rooftop, challenging each other to jump the gap and speed along the next building, and the next, and several after that. Somewhere along the way you lose the enemy, but it's a very good workout.
