Rage

You are fighting Rage.

You open the door into the trash heap, finding a familiar young man digging through the sharp bits of trash like he's looking for a lost contact... okay, that's a little insensitive with the cybernetic visor and all.

As he grows more and more frustrated, the garbage piles begin to shake. Apparently he's expanded his repertoire from super-annoying people to super-annoying anything. The irate trash reaches towards you with the pent-up hate of a thousand football riots.
Your opponent attacks ...

Hit messages:

  • Rage makes a horrible shrieking sound, like a rusty hinge being dragged across a chalkboard made of children on airplanes. (sonic) damage
  • The full weight of Rage's anger falls on you. You don't exactly remember what you said in response, but you're pretty sure it'll show up in tomorrow's paper. (psychic) damage
  • The trash heap roars in anger as Rage inspires it to rise up in a sharp trash tornado. The trashnado tears into you.

He hits you for X damage.

Critical hit message:

Your opponent has a critical hit! He hits you for X damage.

Miss messages:

  • Rage makes a horrible shrieking sound, but you put your fingers in your ears and loudly claim you can't hear him.
  • The full weight of Rage's anger falls on you, but you just lock yourself in your room and use that one swear word you know. It's a pretty good one.
  • The trash heap roars in anger as Rage inspires it to rise up in a sharp trash tornado, but you point out "trashnado" isn't a valid word, so he has to take his move back.

Fumble messages:

Your foe fumbles! He takes X damage.

Victory! You beat up your foe and win the combat!

You gain 200 experience.

Huh, this gadget looks like a bit of cobbled-together trash, but whirs to life when your talisman gets near it... like it's drawing power from it somehow.

You have acquired a new skill: Riot Slicer

You manage to dodge through the pile of rusted metal bits with surprising grace, avoiding both damage and super-tetanus.
Rage fires his Riot Slicer, cutting you for X damage.
or,
The pile of rusted metal bits tugs and cuts at you for X damage.
Rage fires his Riot Slicer while you're dealing with the rusted metal, dealing you a vicious cut for X damage and an equally vicious psychic wound for X (psychic) damage.
