The QB

You are fighting The QB.

Once the backup quarterback and sidekick of Red Zone, the first really infamous football-themed villain, the QB dropped his contract at the end of last season and now has a starting position in his own criminal drive.
Your opponent attacks ...

Hit messages:

  • You try to call time out, but the QB gets the snap off before the whistle. "Snap" being a code word for "deadly assault," of course.
  • The QB fumbles his weapon. For some reason you feel compelled to pick it up. When you do, the QB tackles you with no mercy, flattening you to the ground, and the ground around here ain't natural grass, that's for sure.
  • The QB drills you with a forward pass. The arm "like a laser" actually happens to be more literal than figurative in this case.

He hits you for X damage.

Critical hit message:

Your opponent has a critical hit! He hits you for X damage.

Miss messages:

  • The QB jumps to attack you, but a referee calls a false start and tells him he's got to start over.
  • The QB inexplicably drops his weapon, then even more inexplicably falls on top of it like you might want to steal it from him.
  • The QB hits you with a well-targeted pass. It's a backwards lateral, though, so it doesn't have all that much oomph behind it.

Fumble messages:

Your foe fumbles! He takes X damage.

Victory! You beat up your foe and win the combat!
