Talk:Outskirts of Area 54
I changed the Colossal ant to the giant, seeing as the Colossal ant doesn't exist anymore. I also moved it to be under the mutant fire ant for aesthetics sake. Hope everyone's cool with that.

Combat chances are (80.7% ± 1%).
If all adventures had the same chances, it would be 1/9=11.1%. Combat adventures all have ranges with this value, but noncombats don't even though they get very close. Since one of the noncombats can be suppressed, I'd only be certain they're not all equal if data with only 1 noncombat also arrived at similar conclusions, so I'm leaving these in the talk page.
Villain data will be analyzed in the villain category talk page. Patojonas 08:07, 4 February 2013 (PST)
That combat chance should be reasonably easy to verify. If it's 80% (or higher), you should be able to completely eliminate non-combats through modifiers. Also, with careful use of skills and skill points, you could probably manage +19% combats exactly to see if it's 80% or 81%. Although, I would guess Ryme would have been more likely to put it at 80 than 81 (not insider hinting here, just speculation). Cristiona (talk) 22:19, 4 February 2013 (PST)
- I'm glad someone reads this stuff :P Aanyway, tried with +20% and used all the turns of the 2 alts that spaded this and not a single noncombat was found (tried with +15% until I got one just to check). I'll try tomorrow without flying ability to see if it remains the same with just 1 noncombat availabe. Patojonas 08:10, 5 February 2013 (PST)
- I try to at least skim the raw data :P I don't think there's anything special about that other non-combat aside from it requiring flight. Again, this is just speculation on my part, but I think when both non-coms are available, they share the slot. So, instead of, say, 20% chance of chips, it's 10% and 10%. (or, erm, 20% chance of noncom then 50% chance of either). Cristiona (talk) 20:31, 5 February 2013 (PST)
- Your thinking is correct, but I had to check anyway. Going tto update the page. Patojonas 09:19, 6 February 2013 (PST)
