Plural: eye podules
This is a SketchiTech brand Eye Podule, which is short for "eye-based picture module". Advanced technology on a tiny little chip embedded in a contact lens allows the device to scan and deliver information from a SQUID disc held near your head (you could hardly put the disc into your eye, right?) directly to your retinal cortex.
