Miss Messages

  • you fling your weapon at your foe, but it glances off of a solidly armored spot without doing any damage.
  • you do some flashy and fancy moves while you attack, but you get too distracted by your own footwork to aim properly.
  • you attack! You miss! Not so exciting, is it?
  • you try a fancy ricocheting maneuver, or do you prefer manoeuvre? Regardless of your spelling, you miss all the same.
  • you reach back and your weapon slips out of your hand, flying behind you. Oops.

Fumble Message

Fumble! You cock your arm back to fling your weapon at your opponent, but you jerk your arm too far and actually manage to tear your ulnar collateral ligament, doing X damage to yourself. Who ever heard of a hero needing Tommy John surgery?

Critical Hit Message

  • your arm becomes a blur (like in a cartoon or a self-important action movie) and you hurl your weapon N times and brutally pummel your opponent for X damage.

Notes

  • The critical hit message is the same for single hits. In such a case N is 1.
