Who knows what fears lurk in the heart of <foe>? You do, apparently... and so does everyone else now that you've finished your costume change montage.

It's not unheard of for a costume to be dangerously flammable, but dressing up as a massive flamethrower complete with fuel tank? That's on a whole other level.
Your opponent attacks ...

Hit messages:

  • The flamethrower closes its eyes tight and throws some flame at you. (fire) damage
  • The flamethrower realizes it has fire in front of it and throws it as far away as it can. Unfortunately, that's right where you're standing. (fire) damage
  • The flamethrower hoses you down, then seems surprised when you burst into flames. Apparently, it's lost on the exact meaning of "fire hose." (fire) damage


It hits you for X damage.

Critical hit message:

Your opponent has a critical hit! It hits you for X damage.



Miss messages:

  • The flamethrower tries to throw flame at you, but suffers a bout of fear instead, followed by an existential crisis.
  • The flamethrower realizes it has fire in front of it and throws it as far away as it can. Fortunately, that's far into the desert.
  • The flamethrower tries to put out a burning building. Which would be nice if it were clearer on the meaning of "fire hose."


Fumble messages:

Your foe fumbles! It takes X damage.


Victory! You beat up your foe and win the combat!


You gain (8*Level, cap 400) experience.

You got an item: SQUID disc: The Universe and Your Tiny Place in it (Unspecified Drop rate)

You pass the trial by fire and gain X XP.

Known resistances/weaknesses

Immune to ice damage.
100% weak to fire damage.

How to Encounter

  • Using Fearsome Disguise skill on foes whose weakness is fire damage.
  • Foes with no weaknesses also randomly generate this foe.

Notes

  • Foes's stats and drops will be replaced by those of the disguised form.
