magic deck of cards
Plural: magic decks of cards
Some magic decks let you pick out the right card when you need it. Other magic decks let you destroy a card and it'll come back unharmed. This deck ... well, let's just say calling it "magic" is kind of stretching it.
Comes from the March 2009 Item of the Month

How Obtained
- Using Marty Crouch's magic chest (0-11)
You invite <player> to play cards with you and then declare the game to be fifty-two pickup. It's kind of a jerk move, but it's still funny. You buff <player> with Playing Fifty-two Pickup.
- Trying to return the item to yourself:
- You decide that you don't need to send this item to yourself. Why not save the postage fees?
Effect on Receiver:
<player> has buffed you with Playing Fifty-two Pickup. (Added for 30 minutes.) |
When Used in Combat
You ask your opponent if they'd like a Hawaiian punch. They smartly decline that, plus the knuckle sandwich and the wet Willie that you also offer. Nearly at a loss, you ask if they'd like to play cards. When they agree, you declare the game to be 52-pickup, and hurl the deck at them. Looks like they'll be busy cleaning up that mess for a while.
Notes
- Opponent is stunned for 2-4 rounds (including the round in which cards are used).
- Against frusion enemies it stuns for a single round.
References
- The messages when using the item on another player and in combat refer to the game 52 Pickup.
- The combat use message references television advertisements for Hawaiian Punch, in which a cartoon character named Punchy asks his friend if he would like a Hawaiian Punch, and then punches him.
